The Kappa 60.9cs component speaker system features 6-1/2"" woofers with responsive woven glass-fiber cones that won't flex during a hard workout. The Plus One design offers a larger surface area for improved low-frequency output and efficiency, while longer voice coils add a little more punch to the bass. Large magnets keep the woofers running cooler by placing more steel close to the voice coils to act as a heat sink.

Infinity uses the same textile dome tweeters found in many of their popular home speakers with this Kappa system, so you'll hear the music the way it was recorded with minimal coloration or distortion. The tweeters handle down to 2,500 Hz, almost an octave below the tweeters in many systems, so you'll hear more definition and detail, no matter where you sit. Infinity includes mounting hardware to install the tweeters in custom or factory openings.

The computer-optimized outboard crossover networks employ audiophile-grade components to separate highs and lows, so that the woofer and tweeter work together perfectly. You can attenuate tweeter response by 6 dB to get the perfect sonic balance if you've mounted the tweeters in a less-than-ideal factory location.

Pre-wired crossovers eliminate a time-consuming step in your installation, and terminals at the end of the crossover wires screw directly to the Kappa woofers and tweeters, leaving no chance for incorrect wiring.

Great Sound, Great Price, Great Service (V&M) : Infinity 609CS 270W (Peak) 6-1/2 x 6-3/4 Two-Way Component System Speakers (Pair)

Installed these 60.9CS's in the front doors of my 2001 Yukon a few days ago, I like them very much. I'm using these with an Alpine CDE-124SXM HU and the KTP-445 45W RMS power pak. Plenty of sound with the 93-95 db sensitivity, great mids, a little harsh on the highs but I was able to make adjustments thru the HU to soften it. Seems like country music sounds fantastic on these speakers although I do rock, alt & country (in that order). Using the iPod connection I'm only going 15-17 out of 35 on the volume, topping out around 20 on the XM and tuner.

Couple of installation tips - in the front doors of the Yukon you can do a surface mount on the tweeters on the factory tweeter enclosure with very minor modification to that panel, works well, can angle the tweets toward the front passengers. The tweeter wire connections are ri-gosh-darn-diculous (censored version), 18 ga wire seemed to work best with taping the wire to the tweeter enclosure for 100% strain relief - you don't want ANY load on that wire connection. And don't ever lose that allen wrench! I stuck the little XM antenna on the dash in the front windshield, all the way at the window, just routed about a foot of wire from the HU and coiled the rest up under the dash, reception is excellent and what few drops I get are comparable to my former OEM XM setup.

Gotta give props to V&M Innovations (via Amazon), I purchased two sets of 60.9CS's and they arrived in just a couple of days - very prompt. But when I started installing the rear set with the woofers in the doors and the tweets in the rear cargo pillars, lets just say I bailed on rewiring thru the doors & cargo area, view wasn't worth the climb so to speak. V&M worked with me to return/exchange the 2nd set and I'll put some Infinity Reference coax's (93-95 dba sensitivity) in the rear - not the same caliber as the 60.9SC's but good enough for my setup and should compliment the component set.
